Where have I been??

Well...Corinne Wallace LaRue entered the world on March 4 at 8:14 in the morning.  She has been such a blessing to our family.  Along with all of the blessings she's brought, we've had some time adjusting to the lack of sleep and little time to even shower.  Now that she's almost 6 weeks old, I'm getting into somewhat of a routine and am able to do more.  I hope to get back to posting somewhat regularly!  Until then, I'm loving being a new mommy!

Sale-A-Bration Thanks!

Today's card I CASEd from Mary Fish.  She does a wonderful job at making beautiful creations ALL the time.  I changed it up a little, but the entire card uses the SAB DSP.  I have so much of it lying around, I was thrilled to find a simple and elegant way to use it.  I also got the opportunity to change the border she had into the extras that came with the SAB paper.  I don't scrapbook, so I don't use the trim from kits very often. Again, change the sentiment to anything you'd like and this card is ready for anything.

Here is a card I CASEd from Inking Idaho's blog.  This is a very great blog that I frequent when I'm needing a great idea.  This card uses the Love Letter DSP and Riding Hood Red cardstock.  The black satin ribbon divides the two designs of DSP and the flowers were created with the Bigz Die.  This card whips up very easily and again, can be used for anything.  Can you see a trend?  I'm into generic cards lately.  With a baby here now, I just need to make sure that I have cards on hand that can be used for anything.

Here is a VERY simple card that I saw on Stampin' Connection.  I'm sorry I can't give credit where it is due.  I changed it up slightly to fit what I had.  The base is Very Vanilla with Basic Black cardstock at the bottom.  There is a layer of DSP on the bottom as well with the 1 1/4 inch ribbon going over it.  There is no sentiment, but one could easily be applied for almost any occasion.

Happiness and Sunshine

I needed some happiness and sunshine on a dreary day in Memphis.  I was trying to come up with a card that would exude happiness no matter what the occasion.  I saw a card on Mary Fish's blog that inspired me and this is what I came up with.  These cards were made with the Build a Blossom stamp set and punch from the mini catalog.  The base is Peach Parfait with a layer of Daffodil Delight and Whisper White on top.  The sentiment is from Define Your Life and could be changed to almost anything you'd like.  Enjoy!

Mojo Monday Challenge 180

This is my interpretation of this week's MOJO Monday challenge.  I opted to do the square version of the card, but I decided to flip it on its side.  I used the Sweet Stitches DSP and the Button, Button stamp set.  The sentiment comes from Word Play.  I topped it of with some retired tempting turquoise ribbon and two brads.  Oh what fun!

Oh Baby!

All Girl
Gender Neutral
With a baby approaching at the end of the week, I needed to whip up some quick thank you cards for all of the generous gifts we've been receiving.  The card on the left uses Whisper White and Pink Pirouette.  The ribbon is retired, but still available on the clearance rack which makes it MUCH more affordable!  The stamp is from A Slice of Life hostess set in the mini catalog.  On the right, I used Certainly Celery and So Saffron with some retired ribbon there as well.  This was made for a friend's baby shower...she ended up having a boy, but they waited until he was here to find out.  I could never do that!  Something easy...change the stamp, and you've got a clean and simple card for any occasion!
