Mojo 253

Do you believe it??  I actually got a card made for Mojo MONDAY on a Monday.  This is my kids' first day of school, and I don't go back until Wednesday.  So, I'm spending my last few days of freedom trying to get ahead!
This is my take on this week's Mojo Monday challenge.  I just love the new Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP because it's not only great for Halloween cards, but also for Thanksgiving and generic fall cards.  This card uses the woodgrain embossing folder and  just a smidgen of DSP.  Then I used the Autumn Accents die that coordinates with the Wonderfall stamp set.  I cut out three leaves in various card stock and roughed them up a bit.  Then I used the Brushed Bronze Designer Button (can I just say that I love those because they are ALL THE SAME!!!)  I used the sentiment from last year's set Day of Gratitude and cut it out with the Bitty Banner Framelits.  Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Mojo 251 CAS Masculine Thanks

Well...back from Convention and gone again tomorrow! What a whirlwind adventure! This is my take on this week's Mojo Monday Challenge. I'm using the stamp set (Friendship Preserves) that my mom won while we were at convention (available Aug 1)I decided to go for a simple masculine card because those are the ones I never have enough of. I used the Natural Composition Specialty DSP and layered it on a Very Vanilla card base. I stamped the "Thanks" sentiment in Early Espresso on a 3 X 3 square and then used Festive Paper Piercing Pack (available Aug 1) to outline the shape. I also distressed the edges using my distressing tool and daubed it with Crumb Cake! Thanks for stopping by!

Mojo 250--It's Halloween Time

Well, for today's Mojo Monday challenge, I decided to use a few new items from SU that will be available August 1st.  The DSP seen here is called Howlstooth and Scaringbone.  How cute is that?  The two different patterns you see here are front and back of the same piece of paper.  I stamped the little girl from Greeting Card Kids and punched her out with my 2 1/2 in circle punch and layered her on a 2 3/4 piece cut with my Circle Scissors Plus.  The "BOO" sentiment is from Tiny Tags.  It's punched on a 1 in circle and then layered on a NEW PUNCH (1 1/4 scallop)  SO excited about that one.  Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy your day!

Mojo Monday 249 (a little late)

I just LOVE Christmas cards with unconventional Christmas colors.  Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the traditional red and green, but sometimes I like these more!  This is my take on this week's Mojo Monday challenge.  Yes, I know it's not Monday, but what can I say.  For this? I used the new Evergreen stamp set (available Aug.1).  I stamped the back stamp on very vanilla 2 X 3 1/2 in crumb cake and the top on vellum in soft suede.  I used the Tasteful Trim die for the scallop piece in the middle and daubed it in crumb cake.  The sentiment comes from the new Greetings of the Season stamp set (available Aug.1)  I finished off the card with some very vanilla ribbon and a few pearls.  Voila!  Clean and simple, yet elegant!  Thanks for stopping by!

Mojo Monday Challenge 206

This is my take on this week's fun round or square challenge.  I know that a 4 1/4 in card will fit in a regular A2 envelope, but I opted to make mine a 5 in square card.  I just love the new buttons that coordinate with the Spice Cake DSP (available Sep 1)  Here I used the Paisley Prints stamp set along with the new DSP.  I stamped the image in Soft Suede and then More Mustard after stamping off once.  The one leaf just looked too lonely on the card.   Thanks for stopping by!

Mojo 205

It seems as if Mojo is the only stamping I have time for since school started back.  Pretty soon, I'll get back into the swing of things.  I've been working on some really cool ideas for my stamp club, so I'll show those soon!  Although I didn't adhere to all of the elements of this week's sketch, I got pretty close.  I used the Frightful Sight DSP for the main rectangle.  Then I used cajun craze and basic black for the card base and layers.  It's a very simple take on the sketch, but I like it.  The sentiment is from Got Treats.  I looped  a skinny piece of cajun craze through the black button holes.  I hope you enjoy!

Mojo Monday Challenge 204

Well, can you tell I'm back at work?  Ha!  It's going to take some adjusting to get back into the swing of things.  I've been on maternity leave since March!  Waking up at 5:30 is a difficult thing.  Here is my take on the Mojo challenge this week.  Although I didn't include all of the elements, I'm pretty happy with the outcome.  This uses SU's new Frightful Sight DSP.  It has a lot of fun patterns that could go for things other than Halloween as well.  The stamp is from Greeting Card Kids.  I always hesitate to get stamps that need to be colored in, but this one came together pretty quickly.  I tried first with pastels, but decided I liked the look of the markers better.  I used SU's new striped embossing folder on the piece of Old Olive card stock.  I really like the depth of the texture.  I cut my circle with the Circle Scissors Plus in order to get one the perfect size.  Thanks for stopping by!

Mojo Monday Challenge 201

This is my take on this week's Mojo Monday challenge.  I never made it back to complete last week's sketch.  I think sometimes, everyone can be a little stumped.  I used Stampin' Up! Mocha Specialty DSP for this card.  There's very little stamping.  I thought the colors and the brushed gold would be perfect for a wedding card.  I just love the way it turned out.  The sentiment is from Tiny Tags.  I stamped the vine in soft suede by stamping it off once to lighten the color.  The "Mr. and Mrs." is in Early Espresso.  I hope you enjoy it!

MOJO Monday Challenge 190

This is my take on this week's Mojo Monday challenge.  This uses the new Flirtatious Specialty DSP.  I cut out the doilies from the paper, and voila!  The white one at the top is the back side of the DSP.  And guess what else I did??  I colored the pearl in the top right corner with a pink sharpie.  It's so close to Melon Mambo, I just had to go with it.  I used the tulip border embossing folder and whisper white satin ribbon.  The stamp is from Pendant Park!  I hope you enjoy it!

Mojo Monday Challenge 196

This is my take on this week's Mojo Monday challenge.  I'm using Elegant Soiree DSP (Retires at the end of this month) which is one of my favorites.  It's one of those pack where I LOVE every side of every sheet in the package.  I've decided I need to use it up to make room for all of the new stuff!  In addition to the DSP, I only used Very Vanilla and Soft Suede.  Sympathy cards need to be simple and elegant, and I think I've achieved that!  Thanks for looking.

Mojo Monday Challenge 191

This is my take on this week's Mojo Monday sketch.  I just love this DSP and will be so sad when it retires.  I used Woodland Walk DSP for the main image as well as the faux ribbon.  The sentiment is from the Level 3 Hostess set called Occasional Quotes.  This set alone is worth hosting a workshop.  It has so many wonderful sayings in it.  I used pearls and vanilla rosettes to add that extra pop!  I hope you enjoy!

Mojo Monday Challenge 180

This is my interpretation of this week's MOJO Monday challenge.  I opted to do the square version of the card, but I decided to flip it on its side.  I used the Sweet Stitches DSP and the Button, Button stamp set.  The sentiment comes from Word Play.  I topped it of with some retired tempting turquoise ribbon and two brads.  Oh what fun!

Mojo Monday Challenge 171

This is my monochromatic Mojo Monday entry!  Since it's my anniversary, I suppose I should have made an anniversary card instead, but I decided this paper was more for a fun birthday card.  I used Poppy Parade in a 5 X 5 card.  The Poppy Parade DSP is cut a 2 1/4 X 2 1/4.  I used the new stamp set called Take a Spin from the Occasions Mini (available January 4th).  I think this is one of my favorites! Very simple, yet fun!  Thanks for checking it out!

Mojo Monday Challenge 166

Mojo using Aviary
This is my very simple view of this week's Mojo Monday challenge.  I used the Aviary Stamp set and the Woodland Walk DSP.  The card base is Crumb Cake with Garden Green and Chocolate Chip accents.  I also used the new Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch and a large rhinestone at the top!  I hope you enjoy!

Mojo Monday Challenge 165

Cup of Coffee

This is my rendition of this week's Mojo Monday Challenge.  The base is basic black, with layers of very vanilla and riding hood red.  I used the Love Letter DSP and the Curly Label punch.  The stamps are from Morning Cup and the sentiment is punched on the modern label.  I hope you enjoy it!
