Early Easter

Here's an Easter card I created for my February meeting.  I know Easter is still a few months away, but with a baby on the way, you never know what you'll get to, and what will be pushed down on the priority list.  I think I'm right in calling this a Joy Fold card.  I used the Springtime Vintage DSP and the new set from the mini catalog called Easter Blossoms.  I also used the Vanilla Rosettes and just colored it with the Baja Breeze marker.  It colors beautifully.  I also embellished the branch with the smallest pearls on a few of the flowers.  I hope you enjoy it!

Thinking of Buttons

Here is a card I created for our workshop this month using a different kind of fold.  The picture doesn't really do it justice, but the Tempting Turquoise piece actually opens up horizontally and then the DSP opens vertically!  There's probably a fancy name for this fold, but I don't know what it is!  Feel free to comment if you know!  The base is Early Espresso with a layer of Very Vanilla and then the Sweet Stitches DSP.  I stamped the buttons randomly and then a sentiment from Sincere Salutations.  I used one of the fabric buttons from the new mini.  Aren't they great?  I hope you enjoy!

Snow Day!!!

In Memphis, we don't get a lot of snow.  Last night, we got the word that school was going to be cancelled!!!  Originally from Iowa, 3-4 inches is not considered a blizzard, but around here where the entire city has 2 salt trucks, everyone is in a frenzy!  We have had so much fun playing around in the snow, the kids will be sad when it all melts!  Here is a picture of my husband, with our kids, our dog, and the neighbors.  They had a blast!

Valentine Trio

Here is a project we are doing at my next workshop.  It uses the new Valentine Defined stamp set from the Occasions Mini (available January 4th).  The 3 X 3 cards are on Cherry Cobbler and the box is made out of Whisper White with a Cherry Cobbler belly band.  I also got the chance to use the new glitter paper!  So fun!

Upsy Daisy Thank You

Here is a card my husband stamped after getting on Stampin' Connection. We used the Upsy Daisy stamp set and the sentiment is from Sincere Salutations.  The base is Whisper White with another layer on top that is distressed.  We used Rose Red and Regal Rose for the stamp and then Rose Red ribbon (retired) to polish it off.  This was another card we mass produced for my mom's gift sets.  It really went pretty quickly!  Enjoy!

Hydrangea Thank You

Happy 2011!  I hope it's filled with lots of stamping! Here is a very simple, yet elegant thank you card.  I saw a similar card on the Stampin' Connection website for demonstrators.  I put my own spin on it and this is what I got.  I used Early Espresso and Naturals White.  I also put a layer of the Naturals White on the inside so it's easier to write in.  I used the hostess set called Because I Care.  Very easy to make and versatile with almost any sentiment!
