Just Add Everything

Okay...so here's my accident of the day.  (I'm sure it won't be the only one).  I started making this card on Monday attempting the Mojo Monday sketch challenge for the week. However, I didn't like what I was creating AT ALL.  So I just said to myself that I don't have to stick to the sketch, I just need to go with it!  So this is what I ended up with, and it's nowhere near the sketch.  Maybe later this week, I'll come back to it with fresh eyes and create something marvelous.  But alas, until then, this is what I've got.  I actually love the way it turned out.  I used the Just Add Cake DSP and then punched a circle out from the same paper (opposite side).  I daubed the edges in Early Espresso and tore the corner.  The sentiment comes from the Happiest Birthday Wishes hostess set.  The sentiment is clipped on with a clip from the Clips Assortment.  I also have a piece of Early Espresso ribbon wrapped around to finish it off.  I hope you enjoy...maybe I'll get back to Mojo!

Pennant Birthday

Okay...here is another card from my stamp club last week.  I apologize for the quality of the card in the photo.  It got a little wear and tear from my meeting on Sunday.  This, I confess is a CASE from Dacia Smith.  Thank you Dacia.  It's a very simple card to create, the only pain is the cleaning of the stamps between stamping.  This shows 3 of the new in colors. Every year it takes me a little while to get used to the new colors, but every year, I grow to love them.  Thanks for looking...and hop over to Dacia's blog.  It's great!

Motorcycle Love

Fun title, eh? Okay, okay...corny, but nonetheless appropriate.  I used the now retired Love Letter DSP, and there's obviously a motorcycle.  Hence, "Motorcycle Love".  Hey, I bet Tami White would appreciate it!  Back to the card, I used an OLD Mojo sketch to get me started and off I went.  My husband has a motorcycle that he doesn't get to ride often, so this is dedicated to him.  The "wish big" is for him to get a little more riding time.  I embossed the motorcycle and I think the rest speaks for itself.  Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Celebrations

Here is a FUN birthday card using something old and something new.  This DSP is retiring at the end of this month.  I just loved using it for kids' birthday cards.  It's bright and fun...just like we were when we were kids ;)  The stamp used on this card is from one of the new hostess sets in the new catalog.  It's an 11 piece birthday set guaranteeing you the perfect sentiment for anyone's birthday.  The set is called Happiest Birthday Wishes.  This will be available July first.  Book a workshop after July 1 and it could be yours!

Birthday Gala

I still love Greenhouse Gala DSP.  It works up so quickly for a fun card.  For this, I used the new Pretty Postage stamp set from the new summer mini.  I also used the new Postage Stamp Punch and layered it on the 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 in squares.  Isn't it great?  The sentiment could be easily changed to anything you desire.

Masculine Monday

Isn't it always tricky to create masculine cards?  I always have the hardest time because I LOVE DSP and there's seldom any that are male appropriate.  Though boating or golfing may be specific to certain men, all men can relate to ties.  I got the inspiration for this layout and color combo from Mary Fish, but changed it up a little to make it my own!  I decided to use the ties from the new summer mini.  This stamp and sentiment both came from the set called Best Dad Ever. I embossed the ties and daubed all of the edges.  This could easily be a Father's Day card if you'd rather.  Either way, make it for the special man in your life!  Have a wonderful Monday!

Happiness and Sunshine

I needed some happiness and sunshine on a dreary day in Memphis.  I was trying to come up with a card that would exude happiness no matter what the occasion.  I saw a card on Mary Fish's blog that inspired me and this is what I came up with.  These cards were made with the Build a Blossom stamp set and punch from the mini catalog.  The base is Peach Parfait with a layer of Daffodil Delight and Whisper White on top.  The sentiment is from Define Your Life and could be changed to almost anything you'd like.  Enjoy!

Birthday Pinwheel

My mom needed some basic card sets to give as gifts so here is one I came up with.  I used the original Pawsitivly Prints DSP and Certainly Celery CS to create this.  I used the polka dot embossing folder to add some texture to the card base.  The sentiment came from On Your Birthday. The individual squares are 1 1/4 in and the Pink squares behind are 2 5/8.  It's a fun and simple card to mass produce!  Enjoy! P.S. The clear boxes to hold the cards are from clearbags.com and hold 4-5 A2 cards!  They are wonderful!

Mojo Monday Challenge 171

This is my monochromatic Mojo Monday entry!  Since it's my anniversary, I suppose I should have made an anniversary card instead, but I decided this paper was more for a fun birthday card.  I used Poppy Parade in a 5 X 5 card.  The Poppy Parade DSP is cut a 2 1/4 X 2 1/4.  I used the new stamp set called Take a Spin from the Occasions Mini (available January 4th).  I think this is one of my favorites! Very simple, yet fun!  Thanks for checking it out!

Greenhouse Gala Birthday

I needed a quick and simple birthday card for a friend's birthday.  I used the Greenhouse Gala DSP with a base of Pear Pizazz and accents of Real Red, Chocolate Chip, and Daffodil Delight.  I used a Chocolate Chip corduroy brad (retired) in the corner for a little embellishment.  The sentiment is from "Create a Cupcake" from the new mini (available January 4th).  More posts to follow...I have been busy getting Christmas stuff together for the kids' teachers, but I haven't posted yet!
